Mash 1 vanilla pod, 15 gr of cinnamon, 10 gr of coriander seeds, 2 cloves, 5 anise seeds and 10 gr of cardamom. If you wish you can add red couloring. Put the spice mix in an air-tight glass jar and add 500 ml of pure alchol (90°). Let it rest in a dark place for 3 weeks shaking it at least twice a day. Then make a syrup melting 350 gr of sugar in 350 ml of water. When the syrup will be cold add it to the alcholic blend and let it rest 2 more days. Then strain it will and put in a glass bottle together with 100 of rose water.

This liquor may be used to wet many cakes, such as trifles of sponge cakes.
